KBYG - Week 2 at The Den

The Pitt Panthers are paddling down the Ohio River for the next installment of the River City Rivalry The Bearcats are favored to win by 2.5 points and the over/under is set at 60 points, so we can expect a high-scoring matchup. Last season, the Bearcats defeated the Panthers 27-21. Both teams struggled in 2023, finishing 3-9 overall. However, Pitt is coming into this game with momentum after a 55-24 victory over Kent State in their season opener.

We’re excited to see y’all back down on the commons for our second tailgate of the season. It’s the only back-to-back home game tailgate we’ll have all season.

• When: Saturday morning from 8:30 AM to Noon.

Gameday Tips & Tricks

The weather forecast is looking splendid, which will be a nice change from last weekend’s sauna like environment. Athletics is making a few tweaks to the gameday production to help you get the most of your experience in and around Nippert Stadium.

• Sound System: They've made adjustments to the sound system to ensure optimal volume and clarity. (Aka, it was too loud)

• Concessions: The new partner, SodexoLive!, is working hard to improve their operations. They've added more hawkers, expanded concession options, and improved the speed of service.

• They are adding more seating in Stadium View Cafe and are expanding food and beverage options.

• The band is going to be playing more music, and we’ll hear fewer “canned” songs from the speakers.

• Alcohol sales will stop at the end of the 3rd quarter.
