Week 3 at The Den - Battle for the Victory Bell

We’re taking this show on the road! Thanks to fellow tailgater, Colin Baker and his crew, the trailer will be in Oxford this Saturday ahead of the penultimate Battle for the Victory Bell.

We’re teaming up with the LucyGate and BearGate tailgates to create THE spot for Bearcats fans making the hour’s drive for the game. Specifically, we’ll be congregating in the RV section of the West Millet Lot near Millet Hall, a 5-minute walk from Yager Stadium. Click here for the Google Maps link.

The trailer will be in place early Saturday morning with the tailgate starting no later than 9:00 AM. We’ll have our full setup but do ask for you to BYOB for the community coolers and welcome contributions of breakfast items to share.

We’ll do our best to post updates and pictures on X and Instagram on Saturday morning with our location and such.

Pitt Tailgate Recap

Another great crowd and successful tailgate for #TheDenS10. It was a crisp morning, with the sun hanging out behind Scioto Hall for longer than we wanted. There was a crisp breeze throughout the tailgate, a nice departure from the sauna-like environment the week prior.

DJ Hope started the party and a rep from Big Sipz kept it going, handing out free samples all morning. A big thank you to Everything Bagels, who provided their red & black “Bearcat Bagels” for FREE. You can show appreciation by visiting one of their two locations, Fairfax and Eastgate.

As of 9/11, we are at 120 Season and 97 Gameday passes. All things considered (meaning the team isn’t inspiring much interest), this is great support for The Den! Thank you all for donating. Looking ahead we have some of our biggest tailgates on the horizon.

Next weekend we’ll host our “Dentoberfest” tailgate with our second annual stein-holding competition and a special menu from Aynie’s Catering. After that, we’ll prepare for Homecoming on October 19.
